Ancillary 1 - Edited Front Cover
This was created by Jake Kane. As you see in this edited version of the magazine the barcode and the price has been placed on to the cover of the magazine fullfilling the conventions of a magazine front cover.
Ancillary 1 - Magazine Cover First Draft
This was created by Jack Kane, as you see the layout of the magazine is quite good for the first attempt and you can see clearly the coventions used like in TV & Satellite Week but it is missing the barcode and the price of the magazine.
Planning - Billboard After Taken Photos
After we took pictures for our ancillaries we decided that it would be Jack and Aneesa on the poster and so we planned what the poster wouls look like after this decision
Initial Planning - Billboard
Initially Kate, Aneesa and I planned the poster so that Kate and Jack would be the characters on the poster as this was one of the most captivating storylines that we had within our trailers

Existing Magazine Cover
Q2
As you can see an existing magazine cover has certain conventions to make it a quality magazine cover:
- Masterhead
- Main title anchored on main star
- Barcode
- Strap on the top
- Date of issue
- Button
- Clearly laid out
- Main title stands out to show the reader it is the main story
- Question to include the reader
- Day and channel when program is on
- Other stories that could interest the reader
- Can see all the characters clearly
- Bright house colours to grab reader attention
- Main character is looking straight at the camera to engage the reader
- Website
- Articles promoting different types of programmes
These conventions can help when planning and creating our magazine cover so that we have a conventional magazine cover within our products
